My cousin this week and I discussed all week about who to get for Cripps and we agreed that Marc Murphy was perfect due to consistency, price and averages. I did that trade and just a few moments ago i find out my cousin had a change of mind and traded in Zorko.

I have one mid to upgrade next week in SPP. 267k in bank. My initial thought is J Selwood, or should i go hard and bring in Zorko?

Comment on Bubble Boys and Breakevens – Round 12 by Jim http://www.scpaige.com.au/bubble-boys-and-breakevens-round-12/#comment-152321 Thu, 08 Jun 2017 00:50:52 +0000 http://www.scpaige.com.au/?p=18387#comment-152321 Another good summary and the word of caution into selecting for example Scharenberg is well founded.
I know the owners/authors of this website do not respond to comments, but what are the other rookie alternatives at the moments or even in the next 5-6 rounds for cash generation and bench cover?
I still have Hampton and I can wait until Ryan is on the bubble and he didn’t set the world on fire with his performance on his debut either. Plus we have to deal with Ross Lyon who does not seem to be playing juniors in the team that much.
For this round I am thinking of downgrading Hampton to Scharenberg. The other option is to wait to see whether Ryan will be selected for this week and upgrade Hampton to Hibberd from Melbourne this week followed by a downgrade of Otten to Ryan.
For Cousins to come into the team, provided he stays in the Hawthorn team, I would need to downgrade Barrett who will be playing in R13. But cash generation is also important.

If Bolton gets selected, I may also add him to my team for Butler but I am not totally convinced he’s score well enough to generate some much needed cash for upgrades.
However, not many other alternative good options are available at the moment.

My team moved in the top 10K overall but this week seems to be another challenging one with Treloar, D. Swallow and O’Meara all not playing and with only 150K in the bank.
So decided to drop O’Meara and bring in Berry and upgrade D. Swallow to Z. Merrett. Hopefully the move will pay off short and long term. The O’Meara and D. Swallow gamble has not worked out unfortunately although the latter may still end up averaging in the 90-100 pts range.
I thought about bringing in Rockliff instead but his breakeven is quite high and I will be missing too many midfielders during the Round 11 bye.

Enough. But hey, it was a horrid round.

How good was the win v Sydney though!
