#SCPFC – Round 6

Round 6 Score: 1,923
Round 6 Rank: 97,478
Season Rank: 42,994

A very poor week from the SCPFC team this last week, We have plenty of work to do to bring our rank and output back to reasonable. With 28 trades in the bank it’s time to make some moves to get out of our early season poor form.

The defence as a whole was solid without being spectacular. Rory Laird (99) had a low round by his lofty standards and still managed 99. Michael Hibberd (96) has managed to hold his spot and seems on the verge of paying off, but I’ll be convinced when he strings a few decent games together. Shane Savage (107) has continued to repay the pre-season faith, looking decent in a very poor St Kilda side. The defensive cash cows still have money to make and are all reliable on field options. Tom Doedee (83), Jeremy Finlayson (65) and Sam Murray (62) have been superb rookies this year, some looking almost like keepers at this rate.

Patrick Cripps (143) was our most dominant midfielder this week, he has been huge the last few weeks and has been climbing the rankings fast. Nat Fyfe (114) is back, he has been scoring persistent and has proved a value pick this season. Stephen Coniglio (94) had his lowest week as did Patrick Dangerfield (94) they will both bounce back up over 100 this week. Dustin Martin (88) has had a low couple of weeks for him, making him a prime upgrade target for those who don’t have him, expect him to bounce back this week. Tim Kelly (106) has thus far been the rookie pick up of the season and can definitely be a keeper. Nick Holman (33) was poor this week, but should still make some more money before being moved before his bye. Dayne Zorko (46) is gone this week, he is struggling to break a tag and desperate to find some form.

Max Gawn (168) has consistently put up routine big scores, he is currently the number one score in SuperCoach. Toby Nankervis (125) had a monster game against Grundy on Sunday, racked up 29 touches. Certainly won’t do it every week but boy does he compete.

Jack Billings (47) is on heavy notice, he had poor form early last year before exploding so we back him in for now.  Isaac Heeney (94) has been as consistent as any forward so far this season, he will undoubtedly be one of the top forwards at the end of the season. Devon Smith (109) had one of his best game as a don, hopefully he continues this steady output. Matt Guelfi (63) has been solid without being spectacular in his 3 games so far. As for Jarrod Garlett (0) and Christian Petracca (0) they both got nothing, and due to low attention on this team we had no cover.

As much as we have been steadily dropping in rank each week, we have still got 28 trades in the bank. We will be using both this week starting with Zorko – his poor form and inability to shake a tag have given us no choice. He will be replaced by new POD Jack Macrae. The second trade is a money making move, moving on from the injured Venables and picking up Charlie Spargo a week early as a cash cow, looks like decent job security and loves the contest!
